Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, the Logistics and Customer Service Coordinator serves the organization by ensuring customer needs are understood and met by mill. The Logistics and Customer Service Coordinator is a collaborator who excels in communication and has a continuous improvement mindset.

This is a term position that will last approximately two years, beginning in the Summer of 2022, with the possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the delivery of pulp to customers on-time while minimizing transportation costs.
  • Ensuring standardized procedures, policies and effective processes are developed, adopted and maintained in the pulp warehouse. 
  •  Assessing and managing area risks for the safe operation of the pulp warehouse. 
  • Developing and maintaining an operational plan for the pulp warehouse with ongoing cost management and budget control.
  • Reporting of production and quality data to sales and is the primary contact for the Mercer Sales and logistics team. 
  • Ensuring any customer complaints are dealt with in a timely matter

Education and Experience

  • Post Secondary Education
  • Experience with SAP is an asset
  • Experience with ISO 9001 Quality Management System is an asset
