Bürgerinitiative Stendal e.V. receives donation from Mercer Stendal

Arneburg, February 3, 2021 – Mercer Stendal employees and the company’s management support the voluntary work of Bürgerinitiative Stendal e.V. (BIS) in the Tangerhütte local group.

On February 3, 2021, André Listemann, Managing Director of Mercer Stendal, presented a donation in the amount of 1,000 euros to Angela Kemena, board member and office manager of BIS, and to Anke and Manfred Hain, who run the “Nebenan” meeting place in the middle of the iron foundry town of Tangerhütte.

The donation is equal parts donations from Mercer Stendal team members, who held a raffle at the end of 2020  with proceeds going to a charitable cause, and a matching donation from the Arneburg-based company.

“It is a matter of concern to us and our team members to support all those who help others in the worldwide Corona pandemic. With this initiative, we are impressed by the principle of neighbourly assistance. Help arrives where it is needed and wanted, such as by assisting people in need with household chores or more official matters,” explains André Listemann, Managing Director.

The company’s management hopes that this donation will help to support the often strenuous volunteer work and contribute to the cohesion of people in the region.
