Mercer Stendal Donation for Outpatient Children’s Hospice Service

Arneburg, February 3, 2021 – Mercer Stendal employees collect for a good cause through company raffle. The company’s management matches the collected sum and presents the final donation to the Ambulant Children’s Hospice.

André Listemann, Managing Director of Mercer Stendal gives a donation in the amount of 2,000 euros to the Stendal Ambulant Hospice, presenting the donation to the head of the service, Pastor Ulrich Paulsen, and the coordinator for service, Susanne Kanemeier, on February 3, 2021.

The donation is equal parts a contribution from Mercer Stendal team members, who held a raffle at the end of 2020 with proceeds going to a charitable cause, and a matching donation from the Arneburg-based company.

“Our annual employee raffle has become a nice tradition over the years,” explains Managing Director, André Listemann, “In previous years, the donation went as pocket money to the children’s holiday organized together with the Stendal Youth Welfare Service. This could not be carried out this year due to the pandemic. However, the children’s trip donation account is well filled and is still available for a possible children’s trip this summer.”

The decision to donate the money to the Ambulant Children’s Hospice this year was made by the Mercer Stendal Organizing Committee and is intended to again support families with children.

The Ambulant Children’s Hospice is aimed Altmark-wide at children, adolescents, and young adults suffering from a life-shortening illness, as well as their parents, siblings, and relatives. The volunteers provide psychosocial support, strengthen family cohesion, accompany and advise patients, and arrange for further assistance.
