Mercer CEO Juan Carlos Bueno to speak at the COFI 2025 Convention

Prince George, BC – The COFI 2025 Convention, a major annual event hosted by the Council of Forest Industries (COFI), the voice of the forest industry in British Columbia, will take place April 2-4. Mercer International, a long-standing COFI member, will be represented at this important gathering by its CEO, Juan Carlos Bueno.

Focus on challenges and collaboration

This year’s conference will address the pressing challenges facing British Columbia’s forestry sector, including U.S. tariffs, geopolitical uncertainties, and industry-wide difficulties. A key part of the program is the panel “Calm, Cool & Collaborative: Leadership for Turbulent Times,” which focuses on strong leadership and collaboration to ensure a sustainable and competitive future for the sector.

Juan Carlos Bueno, President and CEO of Mercer International, will participate in this panel on Friday, April 4. Together with Ravi Parmar, Minister of Forests, Province of BC, Chief Councillor John Jack, Huu-ay-aht First Nation, and Lisa Dominato, Councillor, City of Vancouver, he will discuss effective leadership strategies in times of change, moderated by Greg Stewart, President of Sinclar Group Forest Products Ltd. and Chairman of the COFI Board of Directors.
