In a world in which products and service providers are increasingly replaceable, customer service and interaction make all the difference. Availability and competence are our guiding principles. “What can I do for you?” is our maxim. Our qualified staff are happy to receive your orders or answer your questions at any time.
Benefit from our resources as we work to deliver your order. With Mercer, you can count on:
Our transportation department works with both regional and national carriers to ensure our pulp and lumber products are transported safely and on time. Common carrier companies and local businesses are the cornerstones of our logistic planning.
Our Canadian pulp mills are served directly by either CN or CP for their needs, with direct access to BNSF through Mercer reload. We rely on rail to serve our domestic customers directly or transport to the Port of Vancouver for customer exports. From there, breakbulk carriers allow us to ship pulp in large quantities to major Asian ports. We also have access to many container carriers that serve container terminals in Asia from the West coast.
Though manufactured in Germany, our Mercer Timber Products lumber has a US customer base. The lumber is imported using breakbulk carriers from Germany to the US East coast as well as the Gulf coast. Customers are then served primarily by local trucking companies from various US terminals; of course, we provide rail options where required.
Together with our professional partners, we organize your transports safely and reliably – in Germany, throughout Europe, and worldwide. Safety, environmental protection, and economic efficiency are more important than ever in our line of business. Our comprehensive national and international transport network allows us to offer you the required cargo space.
Mercer is using Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology at its Stendal and Rosenthal mills to ensure full traceability during the supply chain and to better connect with our customers. Please contact us to discuss the possibilities of RFID. Together, we can develop smart solutions to the everyday supply chain and administrative challenges for more efficient collaboration.
